Briefly: ATHS convention and show under way; Macungie show next week

One major vintage truck gathering is under way starting today, and a second one takes place next weekend. Both are in Pennsylvania.

The American Truck Historical Society convention and show goes on through Sunday at the York County Fairgrounds in York, Pennsylvania. The annual national show of the Antique Truck Club of America is next Friday and Saturday, June 14 and 15 at the Macungie Memorial Park in Macungie, Pennsylvania.

The ATHS gathering includes the display of hundreds of vintage trucks as well as a variety of educational programs, association meetings and social activities.

Admission is $20 for adults who are not members of the ATHS.

The ATCA national meet and flea market has become a fixture of Father's Day Weekend. Over 900 trucks are expected and there are 300 flea market spaces for truck merchandise sellers.

Radiant acquires Cascade Transportation

Radiant Logistics, Inc. recently announced it has acquired the operations Cascade Transportation, Inc., a Seattle-based, privately held company that provides a full range of customized time critical domestic and international transportation and logistics services. 

Founded in 1982, Cascade services a diversified account base including retail, e-commerce, production furniture and trade show industries. Cascade will continue under the current leadership and operate as Radiant Global Logistics.

I-17 in Phoenix closed this weekend

The Arizona Department of Transportation said northbound Interstate 17 will be closed Friday, June 7 to Monday, June 10, between Happy Valley Road and Loop 303 in north Phoenix for pavement improvement work.

ADOT said drivers should allow extra time, consider traveling during non-peak morning or nighttime hours and stay on the designated detour route. The closure will last from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. On-ramps at Deer Valley and Pinnacle Peak roads also will be closed, said ADOT.

The posted detour follows WB Happy Valley Road to NB Lake Pleasant Parkway and EB Loop 303 back to I-17. 

ADOT said truck drivers can consider using I-10 in the West Valley to NB Loop 303 as an alternate detour route.
