The drivers of two tractor-trailers escaped injury when their rigs collided and caught fire earlier this week on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near Emmaus.
The collision and fire occurred at about 1:40 p.m. Monday, April 15.
According to lehighvalleylive.com, the crash occurred when the driver of a tractor-trailer tried to avoid a disabled vehicle on the right shoulder. The tractor-trailer veered into the left lane, striking the second tractor-trailer.
The two rigs came to a stop and caught fire in the northbound lanes.
A section of the highway was closed for about two hours.
