Container ship that brought down Baltimore bridge sets sail for repairs

Almsot three months since i ran into a support of the Francis Scott Key Bridge causing it collapse, he container ship Dali cargo ship left the Port of Baltimore Monday morning, June 25, bound for Norfolk, Virginia, where repairs will be made. 

Salvage crews removed the steel and concrete of the fallen bridge and reopened the Port of Baltimore to regular cargo traffic.

Federal, state and local authorities continue to discuss what shape a replacement bridge will take, but its estimated it will be late 2028 before it is built.

Freight and commuter traffic will continue to take detours off of Interstate 95 and around the city.
